Like many amongst you, we believe in respecting the environment. For the past two years RCM Modular has been doing its part in reducing the emission of C0² gas which is released in the environment by our factory. Since 2007 it has also substituted some of the products which are harmful to the environment and thus our program green made to order was created.

Since the beginning of its activities, RCM Modular has taken steps to implement this philosophy. In fact, RCM Modular is the only company in its field to transport two modules in a single load. By doing this the amount of CO2 gas released by these large trucks while transporting modules is greatly reduced. This eliminates more than 10,000 kilometres of transportation by heavy duty equipment. Not to the mention the reduction of debris caused by the wear and tear of tires, the greenhouse gas effects and costs. This allows us to buy more durable products with longer warranties and in the long run this advantages all of our clients.

All of our residential products are fabricated and accredited by the agence de l’efficacité énergétique du Québec (AEEQ). The Novaclimat standard such as the electronic thermostats helps to make your house more comfortable. Novaclimat also contributes to healthier living by installing in most of our buildings an approved ventilation system which purifies the air.

In order to help save our environment, our vision for today and tomorrow begins with the analysis of the products used, by the reduction of material and by the study of our transportation system. RCM Modular also uses incinerators to burn the wood scraps which in turn heats both our factories and mechanical garage.

For the past few years, we have been attempting to reduce the amount of daily energy consumed by our clients by using energy efficient products such as water-saving faucets which greatly reduce the loss of drinking water.

More durable products help to directly reduce the number of landfill sites. For example we use higher quality shingles with a 40 year warranty instead of those used by our competitors which only last 25 years.

Last but not least, we are continually searching for new products which are not only more durable but also are made from recycled goods. Our everyday commitment is to find a way to contribute in saving our planet by using more ecological products, more efficient transportation and at the same time by offering our actual and future clients, quality products.
