History of RCM Modular
Although RCM Modular is a young company, it has sustained spectacular growth over the last few years, in part because of the talent and ambition of its staff.
Today, there are over 130 employees at RCM Modular of which 30 are in administration. Four model homes are on display at our Quebec City location on Boulevard Hamel.
RCM Modular has completed projects in Northern Quebec, in the United States and in Ontario; no matter where you plan to build we’ll be up to the task!

June - July 2007 : Takoma Project; Modular model cottages for a high-end housing project (Mont- Tremblant, QC.)
May 2007 : 5000 sq. feet administration building complex, Persevérance camp site, Xstrata zinc (Matagami, QC.) First concept for a modular building with high ceilings.
January 2007 : 34 unit housing complex, Nature Walk (Lebanon, N.H.)

January 2006 : Modular apartment building 27 suites 50 modules, key in hand, project completed in three months. (Charlesbourg QC.)
Novembre 2005 : Première phase des condominiums modulaires, 64 modules, projet Ted Malone Community Housing Resource (Provincetown, MA)
Septembre 2005 : Modular building for three turbines, three modules Hydro-Québec (Trois Pistoles, Rivières-au-Renard and Gaspé, QC.)
August 2005: Second phase modular condominiums with 40 modules, Ted Malone Community Housing Resource (Provincetown, Ma.)
June 2005 : Whitcomb House 42 modules (Milford, Ma.)
February 2005 : Townhouse, Blodget, Farm (Shelburn Bay, Vt.)
September 2004 to May 2005 : Hydro-Quebec site Péribonka, Québec North of Chicoutimi, plus 100 modules which include administrative office and dormitories.
September 2004 : Signing of one of the most important projects to be built in the United States in Brookside, New York: 218 modules to be delivered.
August 2004 : Modular leisure complex, three modules Hydro-Québec (Péribonka, QC.)
August 2004 : Borden St. Apartments (Westport, MA.) and Hydro-Québec Complex. (Péribonka, QC.)
August 2004 : Installation of a major residential project: (Walnut Place, Ma.) 142 modules.
June 2004 : Building of a 48 module residential project (Bristol Pacific, MA.)
May 2004 : Acquisition of a Weinman Beam Processing Station Optimat WBZ 120/6 to further improve the quality of our houses.
May 2004 : Completion of the 64 modules project. ( Shelburn, VT.)
May 2004 : Modular triplex 12 modules Ledgeview Terrace (Chelmsford, MA.) and 2 other triplexes in (Littleton, MA.)
April 2004 : Shelburn Bay apartments, 33 modules, north wing (Shelburn Bay, VT.)
March 2004 : Shelburn Bay apartments, 24 modules, south wing (Shelburn Bay)
November 2003 : Building of the modular project at Chantier des Outardes 4 for Hydro-Québec in collaboration with Entreprises Savard. Collaboration with Construction Binet Inc. for the building of modular dormitories for the SEBJ.
September 2003 : In collaboration with Construction Binet Inc. for a project with the SEBJ (Baie James) building of a modular cafeteria for the EM1 Site.
May 2003 : Completion of the second commercial phase of the EM1 Site in collaboration with C.C.D.C. Launching of a sister company, RCM Kitchens, specializing in kitchen and bathroom cabinets.
March 2003 : Awarded the largest housing project to be constructed in the James Bay area in collaboration with Cegerco. It’s the first phase of theEM1 site with 80 modules.
January 2003 : Construction of new office space at RCM Modular Head Office. The business now boasts 10 work areas with multiple desks, a drawing department, a reception area as well as a conference room.
December 2002 : Second expansion adding 80,000 square feet (mezzanine)
September 2002 : Commercial project for the construction of a 180 module-assisted living community (Loomis, N.H.). Purchase of 4 new trucks for safe and effective delivery.
March 2002 : A contract is signed for the construction of an assisted-living modular complex in New-Hampshire (Riverglen). The company has grown to 140 employees and 17 in administration and management.
January 2002 : First expansion of the factory, 18,000 square feet (7 new work stations)
September 2001 : Assisted living project 60 units (Gables, VT.)
June 2001 : Commercial realization in New-York ( Super 8 motel ) First commercial project installed.
April 2001 : First commercial project signed in the U.S. There is now 85 employees.
November 2000: Construction and assembly of the first modules.
July 2000 : The creation of RCM Modular by Gilbert Trudeau, Martin Binet and Christopher Bratty. The factory began with 40 employees, 5 of which were in administration and 35 skilled workers.
